symbolic chocolate key to Toronto’s First Deputy Mayor Denzil Minnan-Wong
The grand
opening ceremony also included a celebration of Läderach’s Swiss heritage with a lively Swiss parade through
Eaton Centre, featuring Alphorn players, traditional Swiss cow herders with Swiss cowbells, and members of
the local Swiss Canadian community. Other notable guests joining the celebration included Swiss Consul

Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Toronto-Beat Guldimann; and President of the Swiss Canadian Chamber of
Commerce-Alexandra Soriano.
“My family has been crafting premium fresh Swiss chocolate from scratch for nearly 60 years primarily for the Switzerland, Germany, and the Middle East markets, said Johannes Läderach, CEO. “Our flagship store opening in Toronto is a significant milestone for us as we enter North America for the first time and offer a uniquely fresh chocolate experience directly from Switzerland. We look forward to growing our relationship in Toronto and Canada with chocolate lovers, tourists, and the business community for the years to come.”
The new flagship store (unit B021A) on the second floor in CF Toronto Eaton Centre offers more than 100 chocolate varieties, including a dedicated FrischSchoggi (fresh chocolate) counter where consumers can select from over 20 varieties of hand-cut chocolate bark. Additional store offerings include an entire counter devoted to its unique praline and MiniMousses collections, as well as a selfserve, wrapped-chocolate carousel for ChocoBijoux, among many other chocolate varieties and seasonal collections. All chocolate featured is freshly made bean-to-bar and shipped directly to the store.
