Läderach expands globally in north America and the UK

In addition to its first flagship store in CF Eaton Centre,
Läderach recently opened an Express boutique in York Mills
and a shop in New York City. Later in December, Läderach
will expand its global footprint with a new store in London,
England, followed by additional locations in London and New
York City in 2020.
Just in time for the holidays and to celebrate its arrival
in North America, purveyor of fresh chocolate, Läderach
Chocolatier Suisse from Switzerland hosted a grand opening
ceremony today at its new flagship store in CF Toronto Eaton
Centre. Johannes Läderach, CEO and Elias Läderach, Head of
Product & Innovation and World Chocolate Master Champion
were on hand to welcome the community of Toronto into their
chocolate family by presenting a symbolic chocolate key to
Toronto’s First Deputy Mayor Denzil Minnan-Wong The grand opening ceremony also included a celebration of
Läderach’s Swiss heritage with a lively Swiss parade through
Eaton Centre, featuring Alphorn players, traditional Swiss
cow herders with Swiss cowbells, and members of the local
Swiss Canadian community. Other notable guests joining the
celebration included Swiss Consul General-Mrs. Elisabeth
Bösch Malinen, Head of Swiss Business Hub and Deputy Consul
General-Eros Robbiani; Honorary Consul of Switzerland in

Elias Läderach wins the World Chocolate Masters in Paris: the
renowned world championship for the world’s 20 top chocolatiers.
Apart from winning the whole tournament, Elias Läderach achieved
first place in four out of seven categories: Chocolate
Showpiece, Chocolate Snack to go, Chocolate Design and Chocolate
Bonbon. His innovative interpretations of the Futropolis theme
and his meticulously hand-crafted creations delighted the jury
thanks to their perfect blend of a refined yet simple texture,
intense taste and sustainability – both in the concept and in
the recipe itself.
In the year 2025, one-half of the world’s population will
live in megacities with 10 million inhabitants or more. In these
cities, gastronomy will meet art and design, and sustainability
will be a key issue. How will these places influence the taste
experiences of the future? What will the next generation of
chocolate and pastry creations look like? In accordance with the
theme of this year’s World Chocolate Masters – Futropolis –
