Bilten, September 23, 2025 – Swiss premium chocolatier Läderach is continuing its international expansion and entering another promising market in Japan. With three new locations – on the world-famous Ginza shopping street in Tokyo, one in the Ginza SIX mall, and one in the Mark IS mall in Yokohama – the Swiss family-owned company is now bringing its fresh premium chocolate to Japan.
New market opens with three chocolateries at the same time
Läderach successfully launched its Japanese online store at the beginning of this year. With the stores now open, customers can discover and enjoy the full range of fresh Swiss chocolate locally for the first time.
“Japan is an important market for us, with a deep appreciation for quality, craftsmanship, and aesthetics – values that guide us in our work with chocolate. We are delighted to now have our own chocolate shops in Tokyo and Yokohama and to share our passion for chocolate with the people of Japan,” says Nathanael Hausmann, Chief Sales Officer at Läderach and responsible for Global Sales at Läderach. “We are already looking forward to the feedback from customers in Japan and are confident that Läderach will continue to establish itself successfully in this new market,” Nathanael Hausmann continues.
With its expansion into Japan, Läderach is now represented in a total of 27 countries and operates over 230 stores worldwide.

About Läderach
High-quality fresh chocolate – that's what Swiss chocolate manufacturer Läderach stands for. Since its founding in 1962, the company has been impressing customers with exceptional chocolate innovations – whether it was thin-walled hollow truffle balls, the open sale of fresh chocolate in its own chocolate shops, or mini mousses. The family business is now run by the third generation of the family, brothers Johannes, Elias, and David Läderach. As World Chocolate Master, Elias Läderach represents the company's high level of chocolate expertise. Today, the rapidly expanding group employs over 2,500 people from more than 80 countries. Läderach oversees the entire production process from the cocoa bean to the shop counter and produces exclusively in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland. This enables the company to guarantee the highest quality from the cocoa bean to the refined chocolate. The handcrafted chocolate creations are sold in over 230 of the company's own chocolate shops with sales outlets in 27 countries, through franchise partners, and in the online shop (www.laderach.com).
