Is White Chocolate Actually Real Chocolate?

Now, white chocolate is often something that sparks divided opinions. Some people believe that it has nothing to do with chocolate, while others say the opposite. Technically, you can say that white chocolate is not actually chocolate at all. The reason for this is that white chocolate is made with only cocoa butter, powdered or condensed milk, and sugar. Thus, white chocolate contains none of the cocoa solids that give dark and milk chocolates their flavor and color.

White chocolate is a product in its own right, then. It is characterized by a very sweet and creamy texture, which it gets from the cocoa butter.
