What makes chocolate kosher?

Fact is that kosher chocolate is made using the same ingredients as regular chocolate. The difference lies in the way the ingredients are sourced, handled, and processed. The cocoa beans, sugar, and other ingredients used to make kosher chocolate must be certified kosher. The manufacturing facility must also be certified kosher to ensure that the chocolate is produced in a way that adheres to Jewish dietary laws. Additionally, the equipment used in the production of kosher chocolate must be cleaned and sterilised before use to prevent any cross-contamination with non-kosher products.

This means that kosher chocolate is chocolate that has been certified as meeting the dietary requirements of Jewish law. These dietary requirements include specific rules about which foods can be eaten and how they must be prepared.

Our cocoa beans are locally sourced from farmers with whom we have a very close relationship with. Working directly with the cocoa farmers gives us the advantage of being able to follow the production from plant to cocoa bean and all the way to the finished chocolate product. It is our belief that this creates a better tasting chocolate that is ethically made.

We are very proud of the fact that all of our kosher chocolate is produced right here in Switzerland. This gives us the privilege of calling it Swiss chocolate which is known worldwide for its high quality.
